And a few months later...

Oops! Where does the time go? At least once a week or so I think to myself "I really should update my blog", and then Hudson wakes up, or I have a big Vintage Flower Farm order, or I need to sweep and dust, or I finally have 10 minutes to shower, and then I'm out of blogging time. So, the last time I posted we were playing in the snow, and today we played in the pool because it was 90 degrees. I guess I missed a lot of things in there! I don't want to forget to post about our trip to Hilton Head! It's nice to have friends in high places ;) I'm very lucky to have gotten to know Caryn, a girl I met in one of my sociology classes at IUPUI. She has a daughter that's Hudson's age, and they LOVE to play together. What's even more lucky is that we love to play together too! She invited Hudson and I to go to Hilton Head with her and her daughter, and stay in her mother-in-law's condo for the week. I was hesitant to go because it made me nervous thinking about going that far in the car with 2 toddlers, and I wasn't sure how Hudson would be away from home...if he would sleep okay, if I would be okay without Danny's help for an entire week...but it went WONDERFUL. Hudson didn't cry one time through the entire 14 hour car ride! He slept like a champ the entire week also. We had such a great time, I'm so glad I decided to go! Here's a few of my favorite pictures:

This was on a horse farm/petting zoo...it was so cute and the kids loved it!

This was Hudson's first trip to the ocean! He loved it...he ran as fast as we could toward it as soon as we got him out of the wagon. He would just stand in it and watch it for hours if he could!

Our last day...we decided to go to the beach before we left, even though it left the kids covered in sand for the ride. Totally worth it! It's one of my favorite memories with Hudson to date!

He was so interested in this man's fishing poles!
So, that was at the end of April. Here he is for St. Patrick's Day drinking some green milk:

The night before St. Patrick's Day we went to one of my oldest friend's weddings and had a GREAT time! Here's us from that:

Then we had Easter...we went to brunch with Mom and Dean and then back to their house to look through our Easter Baskets and fight for candy of course. Hudson got his own room to find eggs in so we didn't trample him while he was looking for them.

Here's a few other cute pics of him while we were waiting for warmer weather...

We have put our memberships to the zoo and Conner Prairie to good use this year!
Maddie and Hudson! Little cuties.

We got to plant our own row of Kale at Conner Prairie!

The. Cutest. "Magazine Dream" we called this.

We decided to take Hudson to the Indy 500 track to see the cars before the race, and it was a great impulsive decision! Another of my favorite memories with him. I always imagined doing princess things when I thought of having kids...but it is amazing how much fun I have doing boy things!! I can't imagine anything better.

We went with Dean to the Indy 500 parade, and Hudson had so much fun at that too!

We went to Saugatuck and Holland again this year, about a  month ago! We had such a wonderful time. I look forward to going back every year! It's so nice to have a good solid 5 days for us all to spend together without any distractions. Here's a few of my favorite pics from that trip:

He's actually pooping here. He grabs his hair EVERY time he poops. Not sure what that's about...

He's now saying "What is it?" ALL DAY. He points at everything (mostly things he actually knows what they are) and asks what they are at least 80 times a day. He's doing so good with comprehending things...he is amazing at his ipad games, and can put all the letters in the places they go on his word games...he can point out animals, colors, and shapes when you ask him what they are. He's still obsessed with trucks and wakes up talking about them from his sleep, and talks about them  until he goes back to sleep. He's just so much fun! I love spending time with him, he's my best little friend. Here's his monthly pictures since I've posted last:

That's a lot of months! I'm really going to try to get better this time. Really.
