Valentine's Day Recap

I wanted to write about my amazing Valentine's Day before I forgot about it. Danny, who I don't think has EVER gotten me anything for Valentine's Day, came home with an unreal amount of thoughtful gifts for me. First things first....an assortment of my favorite candies. YUM.

Then, these beautiful flowers...

That's my cute hubby on his first day of school! Soooo cute. Back to my gifts. This is the most unbelievable of them all. He got me foot scrub and lotion and promised to give me a foot rub once a week! AND he even said he would paint my nails as I get more preggo.

The foot stuff is supposedly from the dead sea, but I won't get carried away like some people...

I already feel like that at the end of the day on most days. My last and favorite gift is tickets to the Sleeping Beauty Ballet!!

First of all you should know how much I LOOOOVE all Disney princess movies, and I love going to ballets! I am SO thrilled. It isn't until the end of April so I will be sure to blog about the day. This last picture has nothing to do with my gifts, but I do consider him my valentine and I LOVE when he sleeps like this with his tongue out.

Ahhh now you can see why I kiss him on those lips. So cute!

There's a baby in my belly!!

Well, I know a lot of people say you shouldn't say anything yet until after the first trimester, but I can't keep it to myself anymore. I am going to have a baby and could not be more excited! I've been dying to blog about it since I found out. I will be 9 weeks along in two days, and the baby has a strong heartbeat so I think things are in my favor. I have spent the last 9 weeks looking for baby names, nursery ideas, baby clothes, and everything else baby. I'm excited to blog about this stuff, even if no one else reads it, just to remember things when I look back! If it is a girl, her name will be Avery Rose (Rose after my grandma) and if it is a boy he is in big trouble because I can't come up with anything boy. We have a few names that we've liked, but nothing is sticking out to us. Or anything we like our family hates...I guess that is why people wait to tell the name until the baby is born!

I can't find any pictures of the nursery I have planned for a girl...light gray walls, white crib and furniture, pink accessories, and a chandelier. If it's a boy...poor guy, I can't come up with anything for him there either. I'm not stressing until I find out its a boy! 11 weeks to go :(

 I have been feeling great, except exhausted. I can't believe I've made it to 9:00 tonight. This blog entry will have to come to a close but I'm sure I will have many more to come!!

Snowy Weekend

Danny and I were supposed to go to my dad's in Ohio this weekend for our very LATE Christmas. But, because of the snow we decided against it. It turned out to be a good decision, because it was very bad here Saturday morning/afternoon. I'm glad we didn't have to drive in it. Not everyone hates the snow here, however...

We went to my Mom's on Saturday to play cards and eat dinner. We play game called Hand and Foot, where my mom and I are on a team, and Dean and Danny are on a team. We have Jone's Soda holiday packs of disgusting flavors of soda, the losing team has to drink.

The winning team gets to choose what the loser drinks. So far ONLY my mom and I have lost this season. (I say this season because we usually get my parents this holiday pack every year for Christmas.) Here is a play by play of me at 3am on Christmas night drinking Turkey and Gravy.

It is as bad as it looks. That game started at around 1pm, mom and I lost and drank Salmon Pate the first time. I demanded a rematch, and lost again. We drank Wild Herb Stuffing last night. Not quite as gross as the others but just about.

 I worked on some new flowers this weekend too...

I have some more coming I didn't get to either. I haven't listed them yet..I want to get some pics of them on first. I think I'll take them to work and try to get some pics of Marin in them tomorrow. HOPEFULLY they have school, since they were out all last week. I am sick of this weather! Back to the Superbowl...
