Winter Updates

I need to be better about updating this! Now that I'm not doing monthly updates I don't remember as well to post all of Hudson's new developments! He is saying "Truck" now and "Uh Oh!" which is soooooooo cute! They are his first words that he is using correctly and on his own. So I think we will say that "Truck" is his real first word. I'm glad he's finally saying something...I was beginning to worry a little. He LOVES the animals more than ever, and chases them around and lays his head on them. Like this:

That's my son! If I'm not paying attention to him and he wants to play he pulls all his toys over to me and throws them at me. He runs around ALL the time and has a crazy amount of energy. Luckily he's still a good sleeper (for the most part...he woke up from 12-2 last night). But that was a fluke...let's hope. He usually sleeps 7-7:30 and naps from around 12-2:30 or so. Some days more, some days less. But I'm finding from talking to other friends that I'm lucky he sleeps that long! He really loves being around other kids and laughs and follows them around when he sees them. He is a friendly little guy, especially for being home with me all day and not always out and around other people! We had a fun Valentine's Day this year at the zoo. It was pretty warm weather for this time of year (in the 50s), so we took Hudson to the zoo in the morning and then after his nap he went to Mom and Dean's and we went to Ruth's Chris! Yum. Great dinner! Here's his Valentine's Day card this year:

We had a fun photoshoot with some of our friend's! Here's a few more of my favorites:

Adorable! Here's the rest of his monthly photos so far:

I can't believe he's almost 18 months. He has really grown up in the last few weeks. He looks so much bigger and is saying more things and understanding more and more every day. It's fun but so sad at the same time. And I can't imagine having another one right now even though I had hoped on being pregnant by now when I first had him. I just feel like he needs me so much still and I would be taking away so much attention from him...hoping I change my mind soon so I can give him a brother or sister that's not too far apart in age of him! Katie had her baby a few weeks ago and she is SO beautiful and perfect!! I love her so much. I can't wait until Katie is ready for visitors and we can go play with her. I took some pictures of my beautiful niece Harper Mae last week. Here are a few:
Love her! And so excited for our future of Disney Princess Parties. I'm sure there are a million other things that I'm forgetting, but Hudson is about up from his nap and I need to sweep before he's up! I'll leave you with a few of my favorite photos of him from the last month or so:

And a few from our snow days!

We are ready for vacation and warm weather!!

Christmas 2012

Christmas this year was by far the best Christmas of my adult life. I had only planned on getting Hudson a few gifts...but everything just looked like something he would love! (And he did!) Mom and Dean came over for Christmas Eve, and when Mom fell asleep this hilarious turn of events happened...

Nope, she didn't wake up during any of that! Hilarious. I printed off these pictures and made her a book to open on Christmas Morning. She had no idea any of it had happened! Other cute pictures from Christmas Eve:
Grandpa giving Hudson Pop Rocks:
And from earlier in the day at Danny's dad's house:
We spent hours after Hudson went to bed putting together his new toys. It was just what I had dreamed of! :)
That'a a lot of trash. Danny got me a new lens for my camera (so exciting!!! But, the wrong one. But...I exchanged it for the right one!) And he got me matching earrings and a bracelet with black and white diamonds. So beautiful. And Monopoly that we can play with the iPad! We've gotten a lot of use of that. The sweetest gift was a slideshow he put together of pictures of Hudson from birth until now set to The Lumineers "Ho Hey" which I always say is Hudson and I's song :). It was sweet and made me cry! I got him surround sound speakers, new shoes and new basketball shoes, slippers, pjs, Jack Black his favorite shaving stuff, and other little fun things. We had a really big Christmas this year! Especially for us. After our Christmas and Hudson's nap we went over to my moms and had Christmas there!
And Dean won $100 on his scratch off from Santa!!
It was a great Christmas! I can't wait to see what next year brings!!
