6 Months!

Happy 6 Months Hudson!!!

I CANNOT believe Hudson is half a year old already. Everyone said it would go so fast, and it has. He is so much fun right now! I wish I could freeze him for just a little bit so he would stop growing. Here are his weekly pictures this month:

This month he is flying around the house in his walker. It is hilarious and amazing to me that he can go where he wants to. It seems like just yesterday he couldn't even see us, now he can chase us through the house. If I go into the kitchen to cook dinner, he follows me. Today I cleaned out the fridge and he wheeled up and pushed against my legs the whole time.
I've been trying to take him on a walk and to the park to swing every nice day we've had (and there have been a lot! What happened to winter and spring?) And he loves being outside. Except this day, when he was feeling like a tough guy:

We also got a zoo membership so I'm excited to take him more! We've been twice already in 2 weeks. He REALLY loves it. He loves animals so much, he's always smiling at the dogs and cats. His favorite is definitely the fish area. I cant get him to look at the camera while we're in there because he won't look away from the fish. I told Danny we should get him an aquarium for his room...which I'm sure would end up in disaster.

We also had St. Patrick's Day  this month, so had to send out cards of course...here's my favorites from that shoot:

He's so cute! And so much fun. I think I need to be pinched, he's so easy and funny. I'm so excited to see what he's doing next month!

5 months!

Today is Hudson's 5 month birthday! I decided to start doing his monthly check ins by month instead of every 4 weeks because it was getting so far away from his actual month mark! So he gets to have more pictures this month. I had to look back at his 4 month post to see what's new. So much! He just seems so much bigger than he was last  month.

 

He is so happy and funny! He gets a new picture tomorrow. This month he has started playing a lot-he LOVES his baby gym, and swatting and kicking the toys that hang on it. He can touch the floor in his jumper now without needing anything under it (We were using an old coke crate for him to stand on). He is eating now, and squealing and talking more. He has really become interested in the dogs and stares and grabs at them now. So adorable. Just today he started sticking his tongue out as far as it will go and laughing. He sleeps in his crib now at night, and we have a good bedtime routine-pjs, jewel lullabies cd, fan on and then we read "Goodnight Moon" and "Snuggle up sleepy ones" and then I rock him for a minute and then put him in his crib and he goes right to sleep! He's becoming such a big boy. I have gotten SO many cute picture of him this month too. Sometimes I look at him and think I might burst I'm so in love with him. He's my best buddy! Hudson's First Bites!

Hudson went from being content eating 6 ounces a bottle every 4 hours to eating 8 and still being hungry overnight. So, we decided it was time to start food! It was a pretty big and exciting milestone for him. We started out with plain rice cereal on Saturday and he didn't know what to think of it. Sunday I made him some baby food and froze-carrots, apples, and sweet potatoes. We tried apples this morning and he still wasn't sure of them but did a great job and ate the whole bowl!

 He then tried out his sippy cup for the first time! He did pretty good for his first try! I can't believe how big he's getting. Where is the time going?

All that new stuff wore him out and he has been sleeping for the last 2 hours. We are excited to try his other foods soon!!

4 Months!

I feel like I just posted that he was 3 months old. Holy Moly! How do I stop time? Luckily he is being so cute I am enjoying him getting bigger. He now grabs for toys (but still pretty new) and smiles a lot. He LOVES his hand and putting it in his mouth. He stares at it all the time.

He really likes sitting up in his bouncer and his play mat more now that he can swat at his toys. And still really loves bath time. We usually take one every day (sometimes twice if he has an extra gross diaper) and he smiles at the purple octopus on his bathtub and grabs the hangy down toys.

Hudson Rolled Over!

Hudson rolled over for the first time today!!!!!!!! So excited about that. I was getting a little worried that he hadn't yet. We were working on our 15 week photo shoot right before it happened. He has really been into his hands the last week so I was so happy to get some pictures of him looking at his hand for this weeks picture.

It is a pretty cool hand.

After that I laid him on his tummy for a little tummy time and he decided today is the day he would roll over! Luckily I had my camera but was so excited when he rolled over that I didn't get an action shot.

 He was really into that fabric.

Still into it even when he rolled over. What a big boy!
